There is no "could" in it.

Melee class + Noob = frustration for the rest of us.

Happened with Warriors, then Assassins, and soon to be Derverish.

After several hours of Dervish play in RA - and two Gladiator points - I'm willing to go on record as saying the Dervishes can continue to operate under some severe hate. And I'm talking both Spiteful Spirit and Soul Barbs on my enchantment-spammer levels of hate.

Will they be susceptible to builds that specifically hate on them? Of course - rock, meet paper; and that's true of every class in the game.

I'm also a lot more confident than I was of their ability to survive frontline PVE play.

I think they are trying to create "front-line" characters (by front-line, i mean warrior, assinssin, and now this) but get us out of the "front-line fighters should only be tanks, otherwise they suck" sort of thought.

Anyone else seem to think this is what Arena Net is trying to do?
Complete agreement. I haven't played the dervish, i don't really do pvp so i'll just have to wait, but it sounds like they're trying to vary up the frontline fighters so that people don't stay in that rut of "warriors are tanks, only tanks can be in the middle of the battle". Kinda break away from the traditional roles each class has.
The dervish sounds to me what i've always wanted to do with my smiter, but i'll just have to wait for a pve event to see if its all the hype says it will be
